Scarlet Brigade

(Aka Marching Band)

The marching band is a special place for students to come together and make amazing music while representing the Oregon City community at home and abroad.

Registration forms and fees ($175) are due in Fall and Spring.

Some past performances included the Oregon City Homecoming, Portland’s St. John’s Parade, Linfield College Pep Performance, the Oregon City Teddy Bear Parade, Florence Oregon's parade, the Victoria Day Parade in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, and the Portland Rose Festival’s Grand Floral Parade.

Looking forward to a great Year!!  Go Pios!

What Do I Wear?

Marching Band
Students will wear the band issued jacket, pants, and shako/plume provided (Full Dress).  Students must provide and wear "Bus Clothes" under the uniform at all times.  Bus Clothes consist of a t-shirt, tank top, athletic shorts or tights.  Marching band shoes are required for each student and must be purchased or borrowed from the band (We highly recommend purchasing a pair).  Students will provide & wear tall black socks for all marching band performances.  "Full Dress" will be required for parades, competitions, and Homecoming.  "Pioneer Casual" will be required dress for all additional football games.  It will consist of the marching band issued t-shirt/sweatshirt and jeans.

How Do I Raise Money?
Throughout the year, students will have opportunity to participate in several fundraising activities.  See the Fundraising Page

Pep Band
Our fantastic pep band cheers on our basketball teams.  Music is rehearsed during our regular class time winter trimester. There will be no organized outside rehearsals for pep band.  Students are encouraged to work on their music outside of class and may organize practice time on their own.

By signing up for pep band, you are making the commitment that you will be at every home varsity basketball game.  Please remember to always come with a great attitude, be supportive of our team, our band, and our fans.  Call time for each night is 5:30pm in the OCHS band room.  Students are expected to help set-up and pick up all their trash from the band section after the game. As a fundraiser we also collect cans after the game.  A section will be assigned each game to a section.

Students wear the black pep band t-shirt with jeans or shorts.  Theme nights are always popular and the drum majors will communicate those nights a week in advance to the band.  Remember, the school dress code will be enforced at all times.  The Performing Arts Code of Conduct will also be enforced and any student who chooses to violate this will be asked to leave the game and may forfeit their membership in the pep band.  If you think it is wrong, don't do it.  Go Pioneers!!
